It's official, I AM crazy.

Don't ask me what I was thinking, because I'm still not quite sure but... we got a puppy! A little salt & pepper miniature schnauzer, a boy and we named him Jax.

He really is the cutest thing I have seen since Ry was born ;)

However, we had our first mishaps with him this morning. We came home from the grocery store and opened the bathroom door to find a tiny pile of poo that he had stepped in and smeared all over the bathroom floor. It was pretty gross.

As I was unloading groceries from the car, Kenna announced she had to pee but that she wasn't going anywhere near his poo. I came inside and Kenna said "He peed in my room, too! A LOT!"

No, she peed in her room on the floor. Then tried to blame it on Jax, thinking she would get away with it.

Whew, I have my hands full.

Little Miss Sunshine

My mom submitted this photo of K a while back and it was just posted on their blog today.. Check out that grin! She was about 15 months old in this shot... before the terrible two's hit!

He's got that right!

I woke up Monday morning and was getting the kids ready for the day. Trying to get Gav off to school on time, while getting myself ready for my 30 week check up with the Dr. I had a nice little conversation with Gavin that went like this....

G: "So, mommy, what are you doing today?"
Me: "Well I have to go to the doctor after I take you to school."
G: "Why? To check on baby Ryleigh?"
Me: "Yep, to make sure everything's okay."
G: "Well I hope she's like me... normal. Cause Kenna is crazy."

LOL... Smart kid.

Tattle Tail

Sitting in the waiting area of the doctor's office yesterday, trying to fill out paper work while my daughter is loudly expressing how the little baby boy next to her will not say hi back to her. I quietly explain to her that he is a baby and he doesn't know how to talk or communicate yet. She brushes it off and moves on to her next subject... The little girl across the room who is giving her mom a hard time and will not behave. I tell Kenna that sometimes kids misbehave and get in trouble, but that she is doing a good job and behaving in the waiting area.

It must have stuck with her pretty good because that's the last we talked about behaving. We picked Gavin up from school that day and he starts talking over her in the car on the way home....

"MOMMY!!!! GAVIN IS NOT BEHING HAAAAAAVE!"

I start laughing so hard, I don't even think to correct her. It was hilarious.

Good News Galore

Yes, that's right, IT'S A GIRL! We are so excited to be welcoming a new little girl to our family. Kenna was with us for the sonogram and I think she still doesn't quite get it all the way. We told her that the new baby is a girl and she responded with "No, I'm a girl!" lol It was pretty cute. Gav was at school when we went to the doctor but when I picked him up, I said.. "So do you want to know if you're going to have a brother or a sister?" He said.. Yess!! I said "Well, you're going to have another SISTER!!!!" He put his hand on his forehead and said... Ohhh man. lol It was so funny. He is already a wonderful big brother to Kenna, and I know he will love and adore his new little sister just as much.

Everything looked good at the sono, she was measuring 19w5d so pretty much right on track. She has no signs of a cleft lip... Phew! That was weighing on my mind the night before, so it was a relief to hear everything looked good! We go back in month for another check up.

Some more good news... We set a wedding date! J and I got engaged in August, and were planning for a Sept 2012 wedding before we found out we were pregnant. Then we had to decide if we wanted to wait a few years and have the wedding we were originally planning for, or if we wanted to get married soon, before the baby makes her arrival. It was a pretty easy decision, we want to be married when our little girl is born. So our date is set for February 26, 2012... It's going to be a very small event with just our close families, in his parents little church, and a dinner with our guests afterwards. I am SO excited for this. I cannot wait to marry this man, and spend the rest of my life with him. I literally could not imagine my life with anyone else, he IS the one for me. I am so happy I found him :)

Life is great! And I am so thankful to God for all that I have.

Yikes.

Okay so am I a completely horrible blogger for abandoning my blog for 2.5 weeks? Well in my defense, my laptop crashed and I had no way to blog. Unless I used J's computer which is freakishly slow and annoying so I refrained. Until now. I am having blogging withdrawals and HAVE to tell y'all what I'm making for dinner tonight!

But of course, pregnancy updates first! So after our ER scare, we had a follow up the next Monday and there was no sign of the SCH. Baby was doing good and I haven't bled again since that scary night. Thank God! I'm still not showing, and its making me crazy! This is my third baby! Why am I still not showing? Although, every now and then after I eat, my belly does have a very noticeable pooch. I have taken pictures of this in hopes that it is my baby bump, only to wake up the next morning to... No baby bump. It's becoming routine these days. I have also still not felt any movement from the baby. He/she does like to ball up into what feels like a big knot in my belly. J and I love feeling this at night and in the mornings (that's when it usually happens). I am 15.2 weeks today.

My two babies are doing well. They're stoked for Christmas this year. This is the first Christmas since their dad and I split up so it will be very different for all of us but it will still be a great Christmas for us all. G is loving his Christmas break from school... sleeping in, staying up late, watching tv whenever he wants, and arguing with his sister most of the time. And K is enjoying every second of having bubby home so she can pester him whenever she wants.

So now that you've been updated on everyone, I promise to update regularly from this point forward :)

Oh, my darling daughter

I'm assuming this is just a part of the terrible two's; but I cannot wait until you grow out of the stage where you repeat the same sentence 87,326,389 times. Whether it be a question, a statement, a demand, or just a ramble. You repeating it over and over and over again even though I have already acknowledged it every single time you've said it, is quite an annoyance. I love you dearly and am patiently waiting for this to end.

Love,
Mommy :)
