Easter Was Awesome :)

We started out our Easter morning by having a delicious breakfast quiche I made the night before

Then we were off to church with J's parents, sister, and nephew. They were supossed to have an Easter egg hunt at the church that morning but because the weather was pretty crappy, they didn't have one. They did have some adorable little bunnies we got to pet and play with though and some fun bounce houses for the kids :)

The kids got to play outside after church for a good 30 minutes before it started POURING outside! We rushed to my in laws house and had a yummy lunch, then had an "inside" Easter egg hunt for the kids before we all sat down to relax for a bit. As the weather got worse, we lost electricity in the house and the kids were begging to go outside, so we sent them out!

This is what they looked like after...

All in all, we had a pretty great Easter :)

Valentine's Snack Mix

Happy early Valentine's Day! G is having a Valentine's day party at school tomorrow and he wanted to bring something for his classmates. (He is a sweetie!) I asked if he wanted to get cupcakes, he said no. I asked about cookies, he said no. I asked about candy, he said no. I said well what should we bring? He said.. How about chex mix? Which gave me an idea... a Valentine's version of chex mix (for kindergartners, of course). So I put together a mixture of strawberry yogurt cheerios, chocolate teddy grahams, valentine m&m's, pink mini marshmallows, white chocolate, and pink sprinkles! ...and VOILA! Valentine's Snack Mix!

I layed all the cheerios out on some foil and drizzled melted white chocolate over them. Then the kids went crazy with pink sprinkles! :)

After we let the chocolate set a little, we threw it all in big bowl and tossed it around to mix it up!

YUM!

In another bowl, we threw together the pink mini marshmallows, chocolate teddy grahams, and Vday M&M's.

Then I put the mixture into some clear party bags, tied them up and they're ready for G to take to his classmates! I'm very happy with the outcome :)

17 Weeks!

It must be the magic number! I have been feeling the baby move A LOT tonight! Well, more then usual anyway. The Friday night before Christmas Eve, I was sitting in church with my grma and I really think that was the first time I felt the baby move. I felt the same little bubbles a few times. Then they stopped. I did not feel anything for a few days after that and I have felt some little bubbles off and on since then (not sure if it was baby though). Until tonight! I can distinctly feel the baby moving. I know it is not gas bubbles. Very exciting! I also feel like my belly has grown dramatically since yesterday, but that could just be bloat :/

So our Christmas was great! We spent a lot of time with our wonderful families and the kiddos enjoyed every bit of it! I do have to say though, that I am relieved the holidays are over, the house is back to normal, G is back in school and we're back to our normal routine. It feels good, to not have all the chaos :)

Hope you all enjoyed your holidays as well!
